This is a project I have started to take a lot of the knowledge I have learned over the years and apply it back to some ideas I have had in my head for many years. The purpose of this project is to not only grow and learn but to showcase the variety of skills within Unreal Engine I have been learning and mastering over the past few years. The power of the latest versions of Unreal has really unlocked the potential of what can be made and how quickly. This is a fun but multi-part project that I will continue to add to in the coming weeks and months.
Above is the creation of a new stylized tree that’s a part of this longer ongoing 3D project of mine. Here’s a breakdown of the foliage pipeline workflow shown in this time-lapse: SpeedTree – Modeled the tree -> Adobe Photoshop – Created stylized textures -> Unreal Engine 5 – Final use and rendering
Above is the first look at the modular buildings made inside of Unreal Engine 5 for a longer ongoing project of mine. All building parts were modeled in Zbrush and textured using trim sheets created in Adobe Substance. Trees and plants are hand-painted textures that were applied inside SpeedTree when modeling the foliage. Landscape texture layers are also made using Adobe Substance.
Above is a render out of Substance Painter for the final texture look of the cauldron. And below are some WIP shots of the development
Above is the first test render of some assets I am creating to fill up the scene. Many more to come as well as Highpoly sculpting, texturing, and final assets inside of Unreal Engine 5.
